In a new Ant-Man comic, Cassie Lang suggests that her father form a Ant-Vengers team featuring some of the mightiest heroes including Spider-Man.

Spoilers for Ant-Man #3 by Marvel Comics

After taking down an ant-themed villain by using spiders, Ant-Man's daughter Cassie Lang is suggesting they form an 'Ant-Vengers' Avengers team with some of their fellow insect-themed heroes. In Ant-Man #3 by Marvel Comics, Cassie suggests she and her dad team up with both versions of The Wasp and potentially Spider-Man in an all-new group called the Ant-Vengers. While the comment might be a joke, Marvel needs to make the strange team a reality.

The Marvel Universe is full of odd heroes, several of whom gained their powers from real-life insects and animals. From Black Panther, Falcon, and Ant-Man, some of the greatest Avengers' personas and abilities are based on different real-life creatures. However, the Marvel Universe is full of additional bug, insect, and arachnid-inspired heroes, from the more literal Spider-Man and The Wasp, to name-only heroes like Black Widow. In a new comic, Cassie Lang playfully suggests all the bug-themed heroes join Spider-Man in forming a new Ant-Vengers team that actually be a lot of fun to see in action.

In Ant-Man #3 by Al Ewing, Tom Reilly, Jordie Bellaire, and VC's Cory Petit from Marvel Comics, Ant-Man takes on Black Ant, who attempts to free Ultron from imprisonment and being sent to the Microverse. After stopping Black Ant and having him stuck to a spider's web, Ant-Man's daughter Cassie Lang suggests they should form their own Ant-Vengers team. She indicates that Janet Van Dyne and Nadia Van Dyne's The Wasp could join forces with them and potentially Spider-Man in the new Avengers team. While Lang is joking, the Ant-Vengers have real potential as a new superteam.

While Marvel Comics has introduced animal-themed teams before, the Ant-Vengers would represent one of the zanier sides of the Marvel Universe, with its members being full of personality. Spider-Man, Ant-Man, Cassie Lang, and both Wasps could take on the biggest and smallest insect threats from across the Multiverse and beyond. Yes, the team wouldn't have a ton of firepower, but they'd make up for it with their innovative weapons and powers.

Considering Marvel Comics has already introduced more bizarre Avengers teams such as the Pet Avengers, seeing the Ant-Vengers form and be led by Spider-Man and Ant-Man would make for a fresh ensemble that hasn't been seen before. Ant-Man and the Ant-Vengers could prove that despite being themed on insects, bugs, and arachnids that could be squished easily, the heroic versions of the sub-Avengers team would be quite mighty. Who wouldn't love to see them in action?
