The 6-foot-1 Pearsall is coming’s off a breakout junior season in which led the Sun Devils in catches (48), receiving yardage (580) and receiving touchdowns (four). His best game last season was a 132-yard, two-touchdown performance in a 42-23 win at UCLA. Pearsall took a screen pass 65 yards for one of those scores and used a double move to beat the safety on a 54-yarder.

Auburn and Oregon were the other finalists for Pearsall, who comes to Florida with two years of eligibility remaining.

Florida used Trent Whittemore in the slot during spring practice, a 6-foot-4 junior who also can play outside where Justin Shorter and Xzavier Henderson are the starters. Behind Whittemore in the slot are former walk-on Kahleil Jackson, Daejon Reynolds, Jordan Pouncy and converted safety Fenley Graham — a group that has two career catches.
